Bioloopers - The new alchemists

The classic concept of alchemy is an ancient branch of natural philosophy and the medieval forerunner of chemistry. Many identify it with attempts to convert base metals into gold or find a universal elixir, but nothing can be further from its nature.

For us, Alchemy is the missing piece to understand the basis of life and understand natural laws. Alchemy includes several concepts that are part of our research work:

  • Transmutation: in the past it was believed that Alchemy’s most persistent goals were the prolongation of life and transmutation. The two concepts are interlinked and the transmutation principle is based on the continuous change of life. We apply the element of Transmutation to all our algorithms. Every individual is a continuously changing set of data.

  • The relation between men and the cosmos: it may seems an odd concept today, but at the time of Newton and Lavoisier it was the main research topic among scientists. We translate it, in a more modern study to the relationship between humans and the environment around them.

  • Observation: Alchemy was focused, as many classic sciences in natural observation. We apply observation on the single individual through data gathering. We, in fact, develop individual algorithms (digital twins) observing real outcomes and validating predictions (Bioloops).

  • Collective unconsciousness: in the 1920s the Swiss psychoanalyst Carl Jung noticed the similarities between alchemical literature, particularly in its reliance on bizarre symbolic illustrations, and the dreams and fantasies of his patients, Jung viewed them as manifestation of a “collective unconscious” (inherited disposition). In our predictive models, we start from the individuals to define collective unconscious pattern. Through data-set observation, Biona can build personalized predictive models for every individual.

Data analysis approach

Our approach to science and data analysis is unique. it is based on the following principles:

  • Double blind clinical trials as approach to discover principles in the fields of nutrition, wellness, and training don’t work. Those type of scientific experiences have not and will not ever work on multifactorial analyses, such as health because they have a very basic issue. They follow a mono-factorial approach.

  • Health and Wellness are multifactorial and interlinked topics. We understand that it is impossible to improve an individual’s health and wellness without considering the A. interconnection with the outer and inner world and B. considering only one set of data.

  • AI and predictive models are only as good as the data of the datasets. Many tried to implement predictive models and AI to health and wellness. The main issue is that the quality of the data is poor and datasets are not built with the understanding of the principle of life. Bioloopers - continuously improve the data gathering on the individuals (the Bioloops). Our data gathering model answers the transmutational principle of life.

Our data science model is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) one. It allows us to mimic and predict at best what is happening in biological organisms and ecosystems.
